Comfort Zones are fine… as long as you are 100% happy
We’ve all heard the phrase comfort zone, people use it all the time, however did you realise that while you live in your comfort zone, nothing ever changes? It’s absolutely fine to live in this way, as long as you are happy. If you aren’t happy and want to make some changes then buckle up, you have a journey ahead, starting with stepping out of your comfort zone!
Moving from your comfort zone to your learning zone can be scary, you may feel butterflies in your stomach, your mouth may go dry and mind may go blank. This is absolutely normal; most people feel this way when they are moving towards change.
The reality is that we often have to do difficult things in life to be happy. Things that feel frightening at first, things that others can’t do for you, things that make you question how much longer you can keep pushing forward.
Why is this?
Because those are the things that define who you are. Those are the things that make the difference between existing day after day and living the life you really want, the things that stop life being mediocre and give you those feelings of happiness and success. Of course, when things get hard, when you feel out of your comfort zone, it is easy to procrastinate, to make excuses, to pretend that things are ok. If you do this, you need to ask yourself one question… am I really living?
Reality will always rear its head in the end and we know from research that the people who are truly happy aren’t necessarily the richest. True happiness comes from stepping out of your comfort zone and making positive choices that lead to sustainable changes. Truly happy people make do the things that other people don’t have the courage, drive or determination to do.
If you are unhappy and want to change your life, start doing the difficult and uncomfortable things TODAY. You will be blown away at just how remarkable you are and how amazing life can be if you just take that step out of your comfort zone.
